Deena Patel - SDR Lead at Silverfort

What’s more important than personalizing outreach? Are prospects more responsive over email or phone? SDR Leader Deena Patel answers some #salestage questions.

📇 TOP PROSPECTING CHALLENGES

Collecting accurate information has been the most challenging aspect in list building for me. It’s important to invest in a platform that can provide the most recent and relevant data, so you’re not reaching out to people with incorrect info (or not being able to find it at all.) I’ve used a few different platforms and have found some of them are great with transferring into a CRM, while others are not as simple to do.

💬 BEST SPLIT BTWN EMAIL, LINKEDIN & PHONE

I spend my time utilizing email the most, then LinkedIn and phone evenly split. Multi-touch is important, so hitting people on all avenues is key, but I have found that prospects prefer communicating via email the best. LinkedIn has been a great resource for me to connect on a more personal level.

🎨 TAKE ON CUSTOMIZED OUTREACH

I found the best results are based on good timing and relevant messaging, not on personalization. I will still personalize to an extent, but the majority of the message is focused on solutions to their problems.

🗂️ BROWSER TABS ALWAYS OPEN

Salesloft, Salesforce, LinkedIn, and my Silverfort email are always open! I utilize Google docs to keep organized on a few things, so I have tabs of various spreadsheets on my browser as well.

🌞 TRAITS THAT MAKE AN SDR SHINE

Persistence and determination are definitely key traits I would look for in an #sdr. Being able to handle rejection and keeping an open-mind to new ideas is also important. There are a lot of “no’s” involved in this role, so if you’re easily defeated, being an SDR would be a tough gig!

🐓 ARE YOU AN EARLY BIRD OR A NIGHT OWL?

Early bird for sure! I feel more accomplished when I start my day early.

🎒 DREAM JOB IF YOU WEREN’T IN SALES

I love traveling and have done a few backpacking adventures, so being a travel writer would be an exciting job for me! I enjoy meeting new people and being out and about exploring.
